When I was elected to be student representative on the New Haven Board of Education in June 2022, I wanted to make sure that the radical solutions to the heavy problems NHPS faces aren't contained and championed by one single person.
Politics and Justice that liberates is done by the collective, for the collective. Not by one single person.
Therefore, I created the Socialist Scholars Party: a student organization dedicated to developing liberation-minded young leaders as well as doing the "background work" like surveying students and disseminating crucial information from the Board of Ed.
Our goal is to get students a seat at the table of change.
